3rd Annual Silly Spray for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)

Would your child like to silly string their teacher? Perhaps Mrs. Vollmer, Mr. Myers or Mr. Hart? Well, here is their opportunity! On Friday, May 24th Wheatfield Elementary School will hold its 3rd Annual Silly Spray for SMA. This is a fundraiser for Cure SMA. All proceeds will go to help Graham Vollmer, John Burton and all others affected by this disease. To learn more about SMA go to www.curesma.org. For your child to participate, he/she will need to bring in $5 by May 22nd and on the 24th they will get their own can of silly string to use! Thank you for all your support.

Last Day of the 2018-19 School Year

The last day of the 2018-19 School Year is Thursday, May 30th. 

Report Cards

The students' last report card will be available to print out from Skyward on June 4th. Students need to have all textbooks turned in, all library materials returned, any textbook damage fines paid, and lunch charges paid by the last day of school on May 30th.

Kankakee Valley Kougars Girls Basketball Summer Camp

The Kankakee Valley Kougars Girls Basketball Summer Camp will take place June 3 - 6. Grades K-3 (as of 2018-19 school year) will be 10:00 - 11:30. Grades 4-7 (as of 2018-19 school year) will be 11:30 - 1:00. The summer camp will take place in the Kankakee Valley High School Auxiliary Gym. The cost for the summer camp is $50 for first child/$40 for each additional family member. Girls will be going through skill development stations with high school players as supervisors with their group. There will be opportunities for prizes at the conclusion of the camp. Each paid camper will receive a basketball, t-shirt and drawstring bag. The high school coaching staff will be directing the camp along with girls from the high school basketball team. Forms could be picked up for students K-3 (here at Wheatfield Elementary) in the office. Forms must be turned in by May 20th.
