Reading Fair

Wheatfield Elementary is pleased to announce our Annual Reading Fair, which will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018.  Our Reading Fair provides all students an opportunity to share a favorite book through a storyboard display.  Our goal in this fair is one in which students enjoy the process of reading, creating a project, and sharing a favorite book - whether individually or with the assistance of family members.  Students will bring in their storyboard displays the week of February 19th (all must be in the morning of the 22nd).  Doors will open at 4:45 pm and judging will begin at 5:00 pm.  Students will need to be present at that time to answer any questions the judges may have.  We encourage family assistance but this should be their project, they must be able to talk about the book in some detail.  Awards will be given at the end of judging.  If you need any ideas or want to see some examples, just Google "Reading Fair ideas". White storyboards are available for $3.00 at school.  Forms for the Reading Fair can be picked up in the office if your student is needing one. The forms must be returned by February 16, 2018 - any forms received after this date we cannot guarantee a t-shirt.
