We have had another great week of school. We finished our State of the School meetings this week with the KV Classes of 2024 and 2025. The viewed an inspiring message from Principal Kafele and learned about how being serious, diligent, focused, disciplined, and resilient will help them succeed this semester and in life. A couple of reminders:
1. KVMS will again host the annual Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Solo and Ensemble contests! The instrumental contests will be January 26, 2019, while the vocal contests will be February 2, 2019.
2. KVMS has been selected to administer the National Assessment for Educational Progress. This test will be given to selected 8th graders on February 13, 2019. Please see the linked letter for more information.
As we get ready to honor the legacy Dr. Martin Luther King this week, I will leave you with two quotes from him:
"Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”
“Never succumb to the temptation of bitterness.”
Have a great week!
